While Colston is by far one of the better WR in the league today, alot of people aren't taking into consideration with a Shockey in the mix and a better supporting cast of WR's around him and a healthy Deuce McAllister (this means more pes to Reggie Bush) he won't be getting as many touches as he did last year, yes Chad Johnson is hurt and yes he could affect his numbers but he's still in a offense that produces huge numbers for recievers so this needs to be taken into consideration. Shockey (providing he can stay healthy) is going to produce in not only touchdown but also yards and this is a premium when it comes to tight ends, where as Gore is in a Mike Martz offense (and let's face it he's not Marshall Faulk so he'll be lucky to break more then 1,100 yards of rushing offense but he may around 650 yards recieving) but San Francisico is going to implement a two back offense with Gore and DeShuan Foster so it remains to be seen how this will affect Gore's numbers (and it will affect his numbers as I think both players will probably have just over 200 carries each), so when you really look at you're trading Johnson and Shockey for Colston. I wouldn't make the trade, and but I would be looking for another reciever but you don't need to give up Shockey try getting rid of one your backs like Green or Bell in exchange for a mid-tier wideout like Galloway, Bryant Johnson or Isacc Bruce (and before you laugh remember what I said earlier San Fran will be ping a lot more this year, the recievers will put up bigger numbers then last year and Bruce already knows Martz system).
