Can the energy from a person's body make a pendulum start moving by itself ?

A family member of mine was attending a mage school and said that an instructor wanted to show how the energy in someone's body can move things. They had a person lie down on the floor and he placed a pendulum over their body. The pendulum began to "move on it's own" and they were told that it was the energy in the person's body moving it ??????????? I've taken Physical Science in school before but have always been taught that it's the earth's rotation/movement that causes this. What in the world ??? Have found NOTHING on the internet supporting a person's body energy moving a pendulum???
