When do you Think We'll find life on another world, or at the very least a close planet likes ours?

Pretty self explanatory, but, there is a good chance with the advent of our glorious modern technology, and the technology in construction we will soon find a planet like ours, and closer than 20,000,000 light years away (20 million years away is how far Super Earth is from Earth). And, if that's true, and we find one, do you think we'll find sentient, intelligent life on it? If we find life on this fabled planet, do you think humanity will ask to "bum on the planet's proverbial couch"? Or perhaps there will be a bloody take over on this planet in which we fight to secure a lasting home...
